Our sourcing areas

When it comes to sourcing, UNIVEG applies the philosophy of "as near as possible, as far as necessary". Today it has a strong presence in all sourcing areas of importance for servicing the European markets, with large sourcing & export units in Spain, France and Italy and a presence in countries with increasing importance such as eastern Europe (i.e. Poland) and South-East Europe (i.e. Turkey).

UNIVEG has production and export units in the southern hemisphere (South Africa, Argentina, Chile). Our subsidiary Expofrut Argentina is the largest fruit exporter in that country. There are also production and export units in subtropical and tropical areas (Brazil, Peru, Costa Rica, Madagascar, Suriname etc.). This list is extended every year, as we are constantly seeking to provide the optimal 12-month supply calendar or new products. Areas such as China, India, and North Africa are becoming more important.
