We are involved 12 months of the year in growing and procuring fruit from both Northern and Southern Hemispheres. South America and South Africa are the primary sources of procurement in the Southern Hemisphere. In the Northern Hemisphere production is mainly taking place in the Netherlands, Spain, Turkey and Italy. UNIVEG is continuously striving for innovation by bringing a broader and more novel selection of apples, pears and grapes to the market.
Tropical fruit
Supply of tropical products, including bananas, and avocado is one of the cornerstones of UNIVEG business. Our constant care for product safety allows us to meet the different retailer requirements. We work closely with suppliers to ensure we keep all parties abreast of the continuing changes. In addition we are developing innovative solutions to market these niche products and to move them into mainstream purchases.
Citrus fruit
UNIVEG has several recognized brands of citrus fruit, commercialized around the world. UNIVEG is a supplier of the full range of citrus including oranges, grapefruit, lemons, limes, tangerines, clementines, mandarins and specialty citrus. To meet the year-round demand for citrus fruits, UNIVEG sources from both hemispheres. The Southern hemisphere is the largest company’s largest source to produce novel varieties and high quality citrus.
Stone fruit
UNIVEG works with the very best growers and breeders worldwide to ensure continuous delivery of optimum varieties to the customer in the best condition. Constant monitoring of performance during ripening, shelf life and home life carried out both at source and on site underpin this activity, enabling UNIVEG to adapt and modify the product offer according to market and grower needs.
Fairtrade
In this important market, UNIVEG guarantees continuous sourcing from around the world. Different companies within the UNIVEG group can guarantee continuity and range for many Fairtrade fresh products sourced from around the world. Organic produce

Dried fruit
UNIVEG supplies high quality dried fruit to leading retailers, mainly in the UK. Following research into product engineering, merchandising, packaging and marketing, we have created a number of retailer products, that have helped fuel substantial growth within the market. Concepts such as alcohol-infused fruit and chocolate-covered fruit are adding further value to the sectors, alongside our traditional dried fruit and super-soft luxury lines.
