03 Feb 2010 UNIVEG group of companies will have a sizeable presence at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2010 in Berlin

At FRUIT LOGISTICA, the UNIVEG group will have, with its 504 sqm large stand in Hall 5.2, Stand A-03, a sizeable presence at the exhibition to reflect its vision of customer care and operational excellence.

By offering its UNIVEG business contacts a platform for relationship building UNIVEG aims to foster confidence, whilst emphasizing its commitment to long-term relationships with customers, suppliers and employees.

“When we look back to the previous year, we can say that the UNIVEG group, since FRUIT LOGISTICA 2009, has worked intensively on the integration of the different companies belonging to the group”, says Francis Kint, CEO of the Business Unit Fruit & Vegetables. “FRUIT LOGISTICA is an ideal occasion to meet our customers and suppliers in person and to discuss our product offer and service solutions as well as to inform them about the exciting initiatives UNIVEG is working on."

One of these initiatives is the global Sustainability Strategy which UNIVEG will be launching during FRUIT LOGISTICA as well as the decision to become a full member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI). As a market driven organization, UNIVEG aims to take a lead by demonstrating how sustainable supply chain initiatives can create new business opportunities and strengthen existing business relations.

Alara, UNIVEG’s well known cherry, fig producer and marketer, has been integrated in to the overall stand, a full member of the UNIVEG family.

As a global leader in the Fruit & Vegetables sector, UNIVEG will visualize how it is continuously leveraging its expertise and market leadership to deliver sustainable total supply chain solutions to its customers.
