The UNIVEG Group nominates new CEO, current CEO to retire

Theo de Kool succeeds Rudi De Becker as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the UNIVEG Group. Francis Kint, CEO Business Unit Fruit & Vegetables appointed Executive Member of the Board of Directors.
UNIVEG today announced that Theo de Kool has been appointed as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 May 2011. He is succeeding Rudi De Becker who will retire from UNIVEG.
Theo de Kool joined UNIVEG in March 2010 as Chief Financial Officer and as Executive Member of the Board of Directors. Prior to UNIVEG, Theo served as Chief Financial Officer at Sara Lee Corporation, based in Chicago. He also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Sara Lee-Douwe Egberts and Blokker in the Netherlands.
Theo has a Masters degree in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
UNIVEG also announced that Francis Kint, Chief Executive Officer of the Business Unit Fruit & Vegetables, has been appointed Executive Member of the Board of Directors of UNIVEG.
