State-of-the art infrastructure, investments in service centres, increase of UNIVEG’s footprint in major supply regions worldwide by seeking partners and a dedication to sustainability will be central to UNIVEG’s presence at FRUIT LOGISTICA 2012 in Berlin from 8 to 10 February 2012.
Built around the theme ‘UNIVEG, your DIRECT connection to the field’ UNIVEG will showcase its strong capabilities, committed and caring approach towards customers and suppliers and optimism for the future.
At FRUIT LOGISTICA 2012, UNIVEG will highlight its commitment to offer customers the right products and services when and where they are needed through a worldwide presence and investments in new state-of-the art service centres in Europe and the US.
In 2011 UNIVEG completed the new Operations Centre of UNIVEG Katopé France at Rungis International Market with a floor surface of 7000 m², including a warehouse area, a ripening store, a packaging station, a quality laboratory and state-of-the art technology to guarantee major energy savings.
“The produce industry does not tolerate mediocrity. In order to fulfill our customer’ requirements we need a high performing infrastructure in which the best people of the Fruit and Vegetable Industry are proud to work”, comments Francis Kint, CEO of UNIVEG’s Fresh Produce Business Unit. “By combining our state-of-the art service network with our caring and committed approach, we can offer customers new opportunities for product and service differentiation and drive a more sustainable future for generations to come."
