UNIVEG Logistics Russia, located just outside Moscow, has achieved impressive results after barely three years of operation. Andrey Zubchenko, HR Manager: “With our highly motivated staff of 200 people, we pick, pack and transport fruit and vegetable orders as well as other cooled products. Russian suppliers deliver us the goods which we then distribute to retailers throughout the Russian Federation.”
With a degree in social psychology from a Moscow university, Andrey began his career in HR management with a Russian and an American company. He joined UNIVEG in April 2008, where he has been sharing his broad knowledge and experience ever since. “A highly motivated, well-trained workforce is the key to success. For our 170 warehouse workers, we have two in-house training managers. We’ve noticed that a new worker can pick roughly 40 boxes, compared to 200 or so after trainings. This means our warehouses can process 3,000 pallets per day during the high season, for a total of 10,000 m2.”
“Between the high productivity and all the personal attention they get, our employees have a strong sense of job satisfaction. As a result, our staff turnover rates are extremely low. But that’s also related to our company culture. Naturally, we have objectives and targets, like any business, but thanks to our excellent team spirit and ongoing training, we always manage to perform.
